I've also got a 96 model that I bought new (no cab) that hasn't given me any trouble. Only trouble so far has been a leaking valve stem on the AC system. I sat in a Case at the stock show and the seat was down low with a 60 year old style suspension instead of some of the softer riding seats they have now. Lack of weight means a really uncomfortable ride.Īlso make sure you get a good seat. I don't think I made it 50 yards before I turned around due to the bouncing. After driving the New Holland around a bit and putting it through the mini obstacle course of used tractors, I decided to try a comparable sized Kubota. The place I bought it from had several tractors to choose from. The last tractor I bought was an 85 pto hp (used). A very honest Kubota dealer informed me about the weight issues with most Kubota tractors. Last time I bought a tractor (been a Ford tractor guy my whole life) I decided to keep an open mind since they're all foreign now anyway. The new holland issues may be model specific, I was told be a couple folks that the particular line was made to be sold at a lower price point.īiggest difference is weight. Can't comment on warranty, it was never needed. Seems to be good for 90% of what gets done. The Kubota is usually in 3rd gear, on the side we choose high, low, or reverse. Very clunky and took a lot more jostling to get what you wanted. One for gear selection and the other from range. It had the old style gear selection that I imagine most have moved away from now, with two shifters between you legs. I believe it was in a lower price range than similarly rated NH tractors but don't remember the exact model. Much larger frame than the kubota but similar HP. Both tractors offer two- and four-wheel-drive models and HST models, and deliver 49.3 or 54.7 horsepower, respectively. Can't remember the model but it was much more work to operate and constantly fit water in the hydraulic system. Kubota has unveiled two new models to its MX-Series utility ag tractor line with the MX4800 and MX5200.

So, different model but we've been impressed.īuddy had a new holland. Never an issue but the shredder self destructed one day and switched over to spraying instead. Used with a 6' shredder for a couple years even though it called for 5'. Never had a mechanical issue and it's never gotten hot pulling the disk. Round bails and the 8' disc will cause the front tires to get pretty light unless the sprayer build on the front is filled with water and dragging the disk really works it. It's typically used for slightly larger jobs than it was built for. The problem is that the crank vent was frozen I was told. Not sure about that particular model, but my dads L4400 ( I think) has been flawless for about 4 years now. Now just waiting to see what the damages are. Well checked the engine oil after things settled down and there was no oil on the dip stick and the ground was covered with oil that was blowing out the muffler. I called the dealer and spoke to a service rep and I was told It was running on the crank base engine oil being pumped through the trobo charger.I guess shut down because it hydo locked from the oil being pumped on top of the pistons. Finaly it stalled and was knocking really bad.

Humm Did not want to shut the key off at that RPM's being a trobo charged motor. I went to the tractor and the tack was pinned at 3000rpms.

I could hear something strange, I opened the door and all I saw was smoke and the tractor was screaming. Started it and was set at a idele and went back in the garage. And I was letting the tactor to run to warm up the Hydo.
